Leading brands such a MAC, Benefit, Dior, Younique, Urban Decay and many more have been replicated in the ever growing counterfeit market.
Dangerous levels of lead, mercury and cyanide is often found in counterfeit make up which is awful!!! Poison!!! As well as that, they also have arsenic, rats dropping and urine in these disgusting fakes. Like actually EEEEWWW!!!! Think about it for a second, lipgloss, rats droppings and urine??? URGHHHHH! YUK!!!! And if you have kids, do you kiss you kids farewell in the morning from school? With that on your face?!?! Worrying huh! And what about your eyes?!?!?! Eeeeeewwww!!! The pain of that!!! In all seriousness many victims have been fearing there eyesight and left in an awful lot of pain, all because of fake make up!
The make up is usually made in mass quantities in underground labs with not a second thought for hygiene! Well, why do they need to? Its not like its going to be tested and passed by experts and scientists to be sold by a reputable person or store, oh nooooo, that’s not how they role!
And then they get to sell it on Ebay, and Amazon! To which I hear many a consumer say, well, it looks real! Yes, thats the point, they trying to pass it off as just that! Anyone can copy and paste a picture from the real manufacturers website, I don’t think they will go to all the effort of creating underground labs to manufacture these products to pass of as the real deal only to take a photo of their fake gooo and have their mission foiled!
The counterfeit market is ever growing and is great for many fashionistas that want to buy their fake guccci bags, but a fake bag doesn’t physically hurt or harm the person wearing it. Fake make up causes very damaging and very painful reactions such as burns, rashes and long term health problems! (Well thats sort of what happens when you put cyanide on your face.)
I do understand not everyone realises they’re buying fake make up so here is a few signs to look out for:-
Smell, decent high end products usually have no fragrance or a pleasant fragrance, if it smells a bit like a sharpie pen or petrol-ly for instance I would be suspicious
Imperfections – i.e a wonky mirror, brands like dior don’t charge £45 for their eye palettes to allow their brand to be damaged over a wonky mirror – everything is to perfection!
Price – if its cheap then its very likely to be fake! Buy cheap, buy twice!
Font – no they haven’t changed their font after all these years, its a fake.
Logo – the logo is slightly different, some are obviously different
Who’s the seller? Are they a qualified reputable rep for the company? or a reputable store? can they give you a warranty? are they able to cover you with their insurance if you do have a reaction? if not, then who even are they???
Spellings & Grammar – I’m definitely not perfect with writing, as you may tell lol! But these company’s spend millions on perfecting their product, packaging and brand they’re not going to get the spelling and grammar wrong.
There is a direct correlation between the rise in women suffering with skin conditions and the rise in purchasing counterfeit make up, THEN they are left having to buy not so glamorous creams that are more expensive from pharmacies!!!
Even if you have bought a product and the package really does look like the real deal, if you haven’t bought it from the right channels its going to be bad; recycled packaging, expired make up (just think how long you keep your make up, really? Way longer than advised I bet? so what happens if its already expired before you’ve even opened it? vom! ick!) these may not have the dangerous toxins in them but they’re still dangerous for you as they will be contaminated with bacteria!
Wake up to make up, don’t fake up
Lots of Love
